UAF strives for new strategies in agricultural technology
03-July-2009

A five-day International Symposium on “The Changing Face of Agriculture” was held at Lqbal Auditorium of the University of Agriculture in Faisalabad (UAF), Pakistan. The UAF believes that universities should rephrase their research priorities in order to bring positive change for highest productivity in the agricultural sector.

The UAF has been striving to strengthen linkages with international universities and research institutions to achieve the goals in agriculture. Former Governor of Punjab Lt. Gen. Khalid Maqbool encouraged the agricultural scientists to design new parameters to revive traditional agricultural practices in the country. He said he looks forward to new technological packages for rural community under the private sector. A large number of the guests including UAF alumni attended the symposium. It was UAF’s hope that the next generation will continue and make the agriculture sector better.
